Greetings, friends!
I suppose this would be my first blog, and so I have decided to make it evangelistic.
My idea of Christians is that we are people that love Adonai, the Lord God Almighty, with all our hearts,souls, minds, and strengths. We are a people that love the people of this world- and let me explain love. It is not a warm fuzzy feeling.Love is an action. Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy,love does not boast, love is not self seeking.
If you have read the Gospels (Mathew, mark, luke, john), you can see that Jesus was not only a radical person but also a kind and loving King. He is the Messiah that the Jews waited for and rejected- and they wait for a Messiah still! Jesus died for our sins, and He rose from the dead three days later. We celebrate CHRISTmas at His birth, and we celebrate Good Friday at His death. But perhaps the most important holiday is Easter, as then we celebrate His ressurection from the dead.
If you choose to accept God's gift of salvation and everlasting life with Him in Heaven after we die, then please, pray with me:
Gracious Father, I know I'm a sinner and I've done a lot of evil in my life. I recodnize that Your Son was and is the Messiah of the world, and is God as well as You. Please forgive me for my sin and give me the faith I long for to fill my life and heart. I thank you for all that You've done for me.
In Your Son's name, amen.
